"I was looking at similar bikes that cost $800-$1,200 more, but this one hits the same specs. Honestly, I didn't expect the suspension to feel this solid. Definitely feels like I got more than what I paid for."

"I’ve had this thing for about 3 weeks and already put 300+ miles on it. I got the single battery and ride quite a few hills and get about 40 miles per charge. I upgraded the brake calipers to something with a little more stopping power. The factory brakes are the only weakness on this bike. The tires are good quality along with all the hardware. Headlight and taillight are plenty bright and the brake light + rear turn signals are a nice addition. Rear wheel suspension is a big plus too. A lot of the bikes in this style don’t have it. I’ve used it mostly on the road but have taken rides on gravel and dirt as well. I’ve ridden it pretty hard on the throttle and pedaling and it handles any terrain well. I don’t think you can find a better moped style e-bike for the price. If you’re on the fence then go for it. Think I’m gonna go for a ride right now."

"We just bought two CycVerve bikes and we love them! The customer service was prompt and explained a small shipping issue we had. They were awesome to deal with! These bikes are beasts! We are late 50s early 60's and they make mountain biking something we can now do!They are well built but more importantly fun!"

"This bike exceeded my expectations. After using it daily for 3 weeks, I've logged 300+ miles and it rides smooth on both city streets and light gravel. The torque + cadence sensor combo is a great feature that makes the ride feel very natural. The aluminum frame feels sturdy, and the range is fantasticI average 50 miles per charge with moderate pedal assist."

"Showed up quick. A gift package a day before. Good price. Very professionally built and is a ton of fun. I love the onboard computer. The one suggestion is that the brakes are not very good. Keeping in mind the bike is heavy and I'm not 12 years old but it takes forever to come to a stop which has me looking for new brakes. But the bike performs the way I want it to and it's a blast."

FAQs

How does an electric bike work?

An electric bike (or e-bike / electric bicycle) combines a standard bicycle with an electric motor and battery. When you pedal (pedal-assist) or use the throttle, the motor assists your motion, making it easier to ride longer distances, climb hills, and maintain speed with less effort.

Do you have to pedal an electric bike?

All Cycrown e-bikes / electric bikes come with both pedal-assist and throttle functions. You can choose to pedal with assistance for a more natural ride or use the throttle to ride without pedaling whenever you prefer.

What are the benefits of a Fat Tire e-bike?

Fat tire electric bikes (or ebikes) offer:

  • Better traction & stability on sand, snow, gravel
  • Enhanced comfort as the wide tires absorb bumps
  • Versatility across different terrains
  • A bold, rugged aesthetic that many riders love
What’s the difference between a Step-Thru and a Step-Over frame?

Step-Thru frame (low-step): Easier to mount and dismount — ideal for riders wearing skirts or those with limited mobility.

Step-Over frame (high-step): Traditional frame style — often provides greater frame stiffness and is common in performance electric bikes.

How much do electric bikes weigh?

The weight of an electric bicycle/e-bike depends on battery capacity, frame material, motor type, and tire size. Typical weights range from around 50 lbs (23 kg) for lighter city e-bikes up to 70–80+ lbs (32–36+ kg) for heavy-duty full-suspension or fat-tire models.

How fast can an electric bike go?

Most Cycrown electric bikes can reach up to 28 mph (45 km/h) with pedal-assist. Top speeds may vary depending on model and local regulations.

How long do electric bike batteries last?

Battery lifespan depends on usage, care, and battery chemistry. A typical ebike battery from Cycrown can last 500–1,000 charge cycles (several years of regular use). With good care, you can expect 3–5 years or more before capacity noticeably declines.

What’s the difference between a Hub Motor and a Mid-Drive Motor?

Hub Motor: Mounted in the front or rear wheel hub; simpler, quieter, and lower cost.

Mid-Drive Motor: Located near the crank (central); offers better balance, more efficient climbing, and better torque transfer, especially on steep terrain.

What is a Torque Sensor and why does it matter?

A torque sensor measures how much force you apply to the pedals and adjusts motor assistance accordingly. Compared to a basic cadence sensor, torque sensors make the ride feel more natural and responsive — a key feature in many Cycrown electric bikes.

How do you charge an electric bike?
  1. Remove or access the battery (depending on model).
  2. Plug the charger into the battery and into a standard outlet (e.g., 110V in the U.S.).
  3. Charging time typically ranges from 4 to 7 hours, depending on battery capacity.
  4. After charging, unplug and securely mount the battery back.
Do Cycrown bikes arrive assembled?

Cycrown electric bikes/e-bikes are shipped partially assembled to protect components during transit. You typically need to attach the front wheel, pedals, handlebars, and adjust brakes/tires. A detailed assembly manual or video is included.

Can electric bikes get wet?

Yes, many Cycrown ebikes / electric bikes are designed to handle light rain and splashes. However:

  • Avoid submerging the battery or motor in water.
  • Dry and maintain connections regularly.
  • If exposed to heavy rain or wash-down, dry and lubricate parts promptly to prevent corrosion.
Do you need a license for an electric bike?

In most U.S. states, electric bikes (especially those under 750W and with top speeds ≤ 28 mph) are classified similarly to regular bicycles. That means no special license or registration is required. Always check your local state laws, as classification can vary.
