The holidays should feel exciting—not stressful because of unexpected shipping costs.
Beginning September 28, 2026, FedEx's seasonal demand surcharge for oversized packages will affect eligible CYCROWN e-bike shipments. While the published FedEx surcharge starts at $95.75 per oversized package and increases during the busiest holiday weeks, CYCROWN will cover a significant portion of that additional cost.
Customers will pay a flat $55 seasonal shipping surcharge per eligible e-bike. CYCROWN will absorb the remaining amount.
The surcharge will remain in effect through January 17, 2027. The Run Mini and accessories are excluded.
Why Holiday E-Bike Shipping Costs More
Holiday shipping places additional pressure on carrier networks. E-bikes require more space, equipment, and handling than standard packages because of their size and weight.
For the 2026 holiday season, FedEx has published the following Demand—Oversize Charges:
- $95.75 per package from September 28 through November 22, 2026
- $117.25 per package from November 23 through December 27, 2026
- $95.75 per package from December 28, 2026, through January 17, 2027
These charges are in addition to regular shipping costs.
CYCROWN Is Covering the Difference
We know an e-bike is a meaningful purchase, especially during the holiday season. Passing the full seasonal surcharge on to our riders would add as much as $117.25 to an eligible shipment.
Instead, CYCROWN is limiting the customer portion to $55.
That means CYCROWN will cover:
- At least $40.75 of the seasonal oversize surcharge during most of the applicable period
- Up to $62.25 during the busiest holiday shipping period
This allows us to keep delivering large e-bike packages while reducing the seasonal cost passed on to our customers.
When Does the Surcharge Apply?
The flat $55 customer surcharge applies to eligible CYCROWN e-bike orders placed from:
October 2, 2026, through January 17, 2027
The applicable charge will appear in your order summary before payment, so you can review the complete total before placing your order.
Which Products Are Affected?
The seasonal surcharge applies to eligible CYCROWN e-bikes.
The following are excluded:
- Run Mini
- Helmets, locks, and other accessories
If an order includes a Run Mini and another eligible e-bike, the surcharge applies only to the eligible e-bike.

What This Means for Your Order
If you purchase an eligible CYCROWN e-bike during the applicable period:
- Your seasonal shipping surcharge will be limited to $55 per eligible e-bike.
- CYCROWN will cover the remaining portion of the applicable FedEx seasonal oversize surcharge.
- The Run Mini will remain excluded.
- Accessories will not be subject to the e-bike surcharge.
- The charge will be displayed before you complete payment.
