Better than I hoped!
I ordered a CycHunter Pro 2.0, and I am so happy with it. I did the upgrade option (750w/1500w motor) mostly for the hydraulic brakes, but I liked the idea of the NFC screen lock, too. I opted for dual batteries, for the extended range and peace of mind. It was pretty easy to assemble, even without assistance. The only difficult part was waiting for both batteries to fully charge before that first ride. That gave me time to read through all the material included with the bike, and double check the bolts. I only found one loose bolt that was factory installed, though it wasn’t dangerously loose, I still tightened it so it was fully seated. Very impressed with the protective padding on and around the bike while it was in the box. Nothing was damaged or even scratched during shipping.
It was almost dark when I finally got out to ride, which is fine because I wanted to test the lights too. Got everything hooked up and ready to go, and I was off. I went into the settings menu and set the top speed up to 32 mph from the factory default 20 mph, and adjusted the acceleration response from slow to fast. So when I took off in PAS 3, it really took off. Not frighteningly so, but for someone who has never ridden an e-bike and didn’t know what to expect, it was surprising, in a good way. I ended up riding for about 2 hours on my first ride, and covered about 20 miles total. And I loved every single minute of it! This thing is great. The throttle is responsive, and sensitive enough to allow you to go slower than the speed for that setting, which is nice when taking off from a complete stop.
Overall I couldn’t be happier with my first e-bike. It was a bit pricier than I initially wanted to spend, but what I got for the money I spent is tremendous. The value exceeds the cost, hands down. I will be able to do most of my commuting and getting around on this bike, which is going to save so much on gas, which will in turn help the bike pay for itself. Thank you, CyCrown, for making such a beginner friendly, trail capable e-bike, and for offering it at such an affordable price!
Thank you for building more than just an e-bike
To the team at Cycrown Ebikes,
There are moments in life that quietly take pieces of you over time, your independence, your confidence, your sense of freedom. For me, that happened over the last five years.
Being without a vehicle, working from home, and relying on delivery services for even the smallest parts of daily life… it slowly changed who I was. As a father of three, that was one of the hardest parts, feeling like I couldn’t show up in the ways I wanted to. Feeling stuck. Limited. Less like myself.
Then I found my CycHunter.
The first time I rode it, something inside me woke back up. It wasn’t just a ride, it was a feeling I hadn’t experienced in years. Freedom. Real, overwhelming freedom. The wind, the movement, the ability to just go… I didn’t realize how much I missed it until I had it again.
Now, I’m not just getting from point A to point B. I’m getting my life back. I’m active again. I’m present again. I feel like me again.
And I won’t lie, there are moments when I’m riding and it hits me all at once… and I get emotional. Because this isn’t just a bike. To me, it’s hope. It’s independence. It’s a second chance at something I thought I had lost for good.
As a dad, that means everything.
Thank you for building more than just an e-bike. Thank you for giving people like me something we didn’t even realize we were still allowed to have.
I am beyond grateful. Truly.
With all my appreciation,
A proud and thankful CycHunter rider
Disabled veteran from Maine, ebikes made me mobile again.
I purchased a Lectric xp lite 2 and I love that bike for what it is. For the exact same price though I feel like I got way more value for my money with the purchase of the cychunter 2 which is a beautiful bike btw. To compare the two would be unfair because they are both for different purposes, but there are some things I can compare. The cycrown has nfc keyless ability, turn signals, a crappy little bell which got me laughed at lol… and full suspension paired with a bench seat. The Lectric did come with about $400 in free accessories, however I would have liked certain things like turn signals and better suspension but I understand they are trying to keep the bike as light as possible for better economy riding. I feel like lectric could have done a little more to bring a bit more value to the table. The reason I went with the cychunter 2 instead of another Lectric bike or a bike from another company (i was looking at ariel riders xclass as well but the cafe racers always out of stock and i didn’t have enough credit to get the offroad one and what sold me on the cychunter 2 was the dual batteries when comparing it to the ariel riders xclass however im atill going to buy an xclass next year unless they produce w better bike.)
So when it comes to value and features the cychunter 2 took the whole cake. Not to mention all that value packed into a $1099 price tag which is exactly what I paid for my Lectric xp lite 2 JW edition with their “long range battery.” (15ah is hardly long range) and the ariel riders start at $1500, and I would have bought it too if it wasn’t for that price tag, just a little too costly. The other thing I love about this bike is the frame. If anything ever breaks on this bike its a great candidate for a rebuild with nicer aftermarket parts. Absolutely good money well spent. The photos show a mini carport i just purchased and set up for both the bikes, you can see in there how nicely they fit together. Perfect amount of space. I live on 3rd floor so I dropped a 50ft extension cord out the window down the building and run it into the carport so I can charge my bikes in the car port. Its also has a 3amp charger which is 1amp faster than the 2amp chargers that come with Lectric bikes so it charges a bit faster as well.
After assembling the bike which was about 80-90% assembled on arrival, and took about 1.5 hours (left pedal is a reverse thread!) I only ran into that one problem with the left pedal but quickly overcame the issue. Everything else came together quick and easy and all the tools were provided with the bike to assemble it. Cycrown goes above and beyond there. They even include a hand operated air pump for the tires.
The only extra purchases I need to make now are for mirrors, a higher powered horn (not this ridiculous little bell that barely works) as well as a alarm system for anti theft. Im probably gonna throw some anti flat tire inserts into the tires as well. Lectric fills all their tires with slime, but people report they use flat out as well. I don’t believe cycrown does this with their tires.
Hit a milestone on my Cycrun today!
Hit a milestone on my Cycrun today! 2000km (1243 miles). I use it as a commuter bike going 28km each way to and from work, so no off roading or anything. In all that time I have just had to replace the brake pads once, and I think I may need to do it again soon. Thanks Cycrown for this awesome beast! I love it!
I LOVE CYCROWN!!!
CYCROWN, you guys seriously need to drop more models like this.
The Nomad is hands down your best bike right now — no competition. It’s smart, feels super safe, and the specs are honestly better than I expected at this price.
But what really got me is the design. I haven’t seen anything like this anywhere else. Every time I ride it out, people are literally staring — I’ve had a few random guys come up and ask what bike it is. Feels like I’m riding something way more expensive.
Also gotta say… both colors look insanely good. I went back and forth for a while before finally picking the gray.
Not gonna lie — if I had a little extra cash (or if I get a new girlfriend 😂), I’d probably grab the green one too. LOL
Great job on this one.
