Better than I hoped!

I ordered a CycHunter Pro 2.0, and I am so happy with it. I did the upgrade option (750w/1500w motor) mostly for the hydraulic brakes, but I liked the idea of the NFC screen lock, too. I opted for dual batteries, for the extended range and peace of mind. It was pretty easy to assemble, even without assistance. The only difficult part was waiting for both batteries to fully charge before that first ride. That gave me time to read through all the material included with the bike, and double check the bolts. I only found one loose bolt that was factory installed, though it wasn’t dangerously loose, I still tightened it so it was fully seated. Very impressed with the protective padding on and around the bike while it was in the box. Nothing was damaged or even scratched during shipping.

It was almost dark when I finally got out to ride, which is fine because I wanted to test the lights too. Got everything hooked up and ready to go, and I was off. I went into the settings menu and set the top speed up to 32 mph from the factory default 20 mph, and adjusted the acceleration response from slow to fast. So when I took off in PAS 3, it really took off. Not frighteningly so, but for someone who has never ridden an e-bike and didn’t know what to expect, it was surprising, in a good way. I ended up riding for about 2 hours on my first ride, and covered about 20 miles total. And I loved every single minute of it! This thing is great. The throttle is responsive, and sensitive enough to allow you to go slower than the speed for that setting, which is nice when taking off from a complete stop.

Overall I couldn’t be happier with my first e-bike. It was a bit pricier than I initially wanted to spend, but what I got for the money I spent is tremendous. The value exceeds the cost, hands down. I will be able to do most of my commuting and getting around on this bike, which is going to save so much on gas, which will in turn help the bike pay for itself. Thank you, CyCrown, for making such a beginner friendly, trail capable e-bike, and for offering it at such an affordable price!

Really appreciate you sharing this—glad to hear the Pro 2.0 is treating you well.
That’s actually exactly why we developed the 2.0 version in the first place. We wanted to fix some of the limitations from earlier models and focus on what riders actually feel in daily use—better braking control, smoother power delivery, smarter features like NFC, and longer real-world range with options like dual batteries.
At the same time, we didn’t want it to become something overpriced or overcomplicated. The goal has always been to keep it practical and affordable, while still giving riders a noticeably better experience where it matters.
So it’s really good to hear that came through in your ride. Thanks again for the support—and ride safe out there

So far, so awful.

I'm going to write this review, hoping that the stars will go up. I was so pumped to get this e-bike. I ordered the CycHunter 2.0 with the upgrade for motor, but standard battery. The bike arrived just this past Sunday, May 3rd. I spent two hours putting it together only to find issue 1: One of the screws that mounts the handlebar to the frame does not tighten. See picture 1. Not terrible, I emailed the issue over. But then, I took it for a test spin one time around the block, and I noticed issue 2: They sent me the wrong bike. The bike does not go above 20 mph, and I look at the stickers and sure enough, 20 mph limit. The upgraded bike that I ordered should go up to 32 mph. Now, even if that includes some funny pedal-assist math, it should at least hit 28. This is a problem because the whole reason I got the bike was to stay with flow of 25mph traffic on throttle. Also I live south of Pittsburgh which has many hills--not easy biking. Okay, so they're closed Sundays but open Monday. This is a big enough deal for me to call the [****] customer "service" number. So I waited 44 minutes and got dumped from the line. I called back and waited 7 minutes and got dumped again. I called back and gave up after 20 minutes. Why is there nothing as simple as, "Schedule a call back." So now, I have a handle-bar using 3 of 4 screws, which I'm not a safety-freak, but seems not ideal. I have a bike I didn't order. And I have no one picking up the phone. And I'm out over a thousand dollars including the helmet, carrier bag and cell phone mount I also ordered. Did I mention I was excited to have an e-bike. Well, now I'm just massively frustrated. Thanks cycrown. I'm hoping someone sees this and does something. It's order # 5879.

Purchased New on Amazon, it arrived in good condition, thats half the worrie for me.
I got the bike for a steal 599.00 plus delivery and tax i was around 700 with that B.S. the bike has held up beyond my expectations, it is a well built frame with good components, the breaks are disk and are adequate but hydraulic would be much better, again its a cost effective bike. I drive it daily I average 10 mi a day on many different terrain changes. Rain Snow or shine im riding, for the price I got it for and the construction of it, its definitely a great purchase, I believe its a 750w motor with a basic 36v 10 ah battery with a 280 wah not a powerful battery but its a sold well built battery I can get 10 mi even on a charge with limited pedaling and nothing overwhelming, its a real comfortable fit. Im 5'9 and weigh 180 and it pulles me up hills nicely, I have 1480 mi and its 10 months old, it held up against everything a Pittsburgh winter could throw, 8" of snow it had its moments of struggle but I made it to where I had to be, lighting is good but basic I added an additional bar light and rear reds. Id like to own a hunter version with the 1500w 48v set up.
I recently purchased a new Amyet S8S 1500w 48v 20ah 980 wah great set up motor battery and controller and monitor, the frame stinks my knees almost touch my chin when peddling, and im 5" 10 its not as smooth as the CyRun
I should have went with my gut and spent a few houndered more and purchase A CYCROWN, all there bikes are thought out and stand out...
I hope to own another soon dont make the same mistake I did, Great Product and Brand.
Almost a year old at 1500 mi not 1 issue changed my brakepads 2x and new tires are going on today... and the battery has held up great for a 36v battery. It works hard.

Hope this helps
stay rolling
Stay safe.

Really appreciate you taking the time to share all this — this is the kind of real riding experience that means a lot to us.
Sounds like you’ve truly put the bike through everything — daily commuting, rough terrain, even winter conditions — and it’s great to hear it’s been holding up strong.
You’re absolutely right about the brakes. On this model they’re mechanical disc brakes, and for riders looking for stronger stopping power, our Hunter 2.0 comes upgraded with hydraulic brakes.
Also love that you pointed out the frame and ride feel — that’s something we care a lot about when designing our bikes.
Whenever you’re ready for your next upgrade, we’ve got you covered. Stay safe and keep riding.

The bike was well packaged and it is very enjoyable to ride! It gets many compliments and even some motorcyclists acknowledgements.

Love hearing this, thank you so much! 🙌

Ride safe and enjoy every mile!
